Logic takes you from A to B, imagination takes you everywhere. Albert Einstein

As a new student of this Work Based Learning program I thought of starting explaining what took me to study again after over 2 years of working as a professional  singer and dancer and no more student life!
I've always believed in my potential and my passion for dance and performing arts in general but in 2010 I took a gap year trying to understand what was going to be my next move and whether I should have tried a career back home...I'll introduce myself, I'm Italian and I graduated in 2008 in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre at The Urdang Academy in London; after several months of small jobs and a lot of castings I thought of accepting a cruise job as a singer-dancer, something I'd swore I'd never have done!
I thought of it as a moment where I couldn't really choose my jobs but I had to work my way up, so I decided to do the contract finding myself enjoying every single part of it.
Life sometimes throughs things at you and we ignore it, I think we have to be alert enough to be able to see where opportunities together with imagination can take us, where something that we don't image ourselves being and doing can actually be life changing, it's a risk that we have to take sometimes...that is why I decided to apply for this course. I needed something challenging to recharge my batteries and to revive myself up... I don't think this is going to be any easy especially since I'm taking this course as a second language student...but as I said being logical and safe can only take you to a certain level and quality of life, imagination can really take you everywhere!
So I imagine myself exceeding my expectations and enjoy as much as possible this new exciting adventure...who knows where it will take me! :)
